Examination Notice

The TOPREC Professional Planning Practice Examination will be conducted at Three (3) Centers Nationwide. The online TOPREC accredited training schools can be engaged privately to properly prepare you for the examination; we strongly encourage you to take training with them.

The examination Centers are: Ibadan, Kaduna, Owerri , Candidates wishing to sit for these examinations are hereby directed to note the following :

Procedure for Online Application Forms payment

2019 Toprec PPPE Online Application Form can only be paid for online with your debit card or from your bank account online nation wide at the cost of N40,000.00 (forty thousand Naira) only. non refundable. The procedure are as follows. (Options 1-2)

Option 1 Online payment (Debit card payment)

  • Type www.toprecng.org on your browser and click enter
  • Click on payments and fill the brief form accordingly, click pay
  • Fill-in your card detail as required and click pay
  • Once your payment is successful, it will redirect you to PPPE form
  • Fill the form appropriately and upload a relevant documents including passport photo and click submit.
  • However, you have the choice of not submitting immediately by clicking save and continue later, meaning you can continue filling the form from where you previously stop but you must not be on the form for more than 30 days.

Option 2 Bank Payment (Online Bank Payment)

  • Type www.toprecng.org on your browser and click enter
  • Click on payment and fill out the brief form accordingly, click pay
  • Click on the drop-down and select your bank, type in your account number and follow the instruction accordingly
  • Once your payment is successful you will be redirect to PPPE form page
  • Fill the form appropriately and upload all relevant documents including passport photo and click submit.
  • However, you have the choice of not submitting immediately by clicking save and continue later, meaning you can continue filling the form from where you previously stop but you must not be on the form for more than 30 days.
  • Paystack Option 3 (No direct bank payment or any other form of payment is allowed)

Written Examination Centers

The written examination centers are as follows;

  1. Northern zone – Department of Urban and Regional Planning,Barnawa Campus,Kaduna Polytechnic Kaduna,.
  2. Eastern zone � Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Federal Polytechnic,Nekede – Owerri, Imo State. 
  3. Western zone � Department of Urban and Regional Planning, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State.

A candidate who prefers any other centre outside his/her geographical zone is free to do so. The examination is to be held on the same day, same time in all the centres.

Candidates should note that the Professional Planning Practice written Examination would be a (3) three hour paper.

Oral Examination Notice

As part of the Professional Planning Practice Examination (PPPE), candidates are to take an oral interview (examination) centers for oral interview are- Lagos, Calaber and Abuja. In which they are expected to respond to a number of issues especially arising from their work experience and/or portfolio of practical work which the candidates have submitted.

INTENDING town planners will submit their log books at the venue of the written EXAMINATION, in support of his/her ability to practice. A candidate is expected to produce a portfolio of work/practice done under the supervision of a registered town planner as contained in Article iii- section 8 (d) of TOPREC Rules and Regulations for the Control of Town Planning Practice.

Intending candidates are to purchase their logbook from TOPREC office in Abuja, Lagos and from any state council representative across the country at the cost of N1,500.00 (One Thousand Five Hundered Naira) only.

Unless this is done satisfactorily, the candidate does not qualify for ORAL INTERVIEW.

However, it is important to note that ONLY candidates who passed the written examination will be shortlisted for the oral examination.

Rules and Guidelines

Please ensure you adhere to the rules and guidelines stated below.

  1. No candidate shall be allowed to take Handset or iPad into the examination hall, or else such shall be confiscated.
  2. No candidate shall be allowed into the examination Hall a minute after commencement of the examination.
  3. No candidate shall be allowed to change examination centre after final registration for the examination and given examination number.
  4. No form of examination malpractice shall be allowed.
  5. No registration for examination shall be entertained at the examination venue.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Candidates will qualify for the Professional Planning Practice Examination (PPPE) after 2 years post qualification experience from TOPREC accredited institutions. In line with Section 7 (1) (a), (b) CAP T7. LFN 2004.

Applicant must acknowledge that I have read and accepted all the terms and conditions for the Professional Planning Practice Examination and shall be held liable for any misinformation or negligence.
